I am a proud native New Mexican who deeply values the love and connection I share with my family, friends, and community. These roots shape both who I am and the work I choose to do. Growing up as an only child to a young, single, Hispanic mother, I witnessed firsthand how equality and equity are often withheld from specific communities. Those early experiences cultivated my awareness of systemic barriers and their impact on individual and collective well-being, instilling in me a deep passion for advocacy and a commitment to protecting and uplifting individuals and communities that are frequently overlooked or marginalized.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in English, along with a Technological Communications Certification, from The University of New Mexico. My educational background supports a strong foundation in human behavior, communication, and storytelling, which guides how I approach relationship-building, outreach, and community-centered work. Professionally, I have several years of experience in community engagement, local government, civic engagement, public relations, and social media.
I believe my journey, shaped by personal resilience, academic achievement, and professional experience, has equipped me to contribute meaningfully to initiatives that inspire others to live meaningful, purpose-driven lives. Through my work, I remain committed to justice, inclusion, and community empowerment, and to moving through the world with kindness at the center of everything I do.
Outside of work, I’m drawn to the little things that bring joy and balance to my days. Spending time outdoors with my rescue dog, along with sunlight and moments of prayer, help me feel grounded and at peace. I also love good food and the stories behind the dishes, which often leads me to trying new flavors and exploring new places quite frequently. You can always count on me to say yes to a new experience that is novel and sparks connection!
